2011 comes to an end.

Wow what an amazing year is taking it's end. A year with ups and downs but surely one of the best of my life so far.
April I started blogging with Wioletta on our shared blog REMOTE FUTURE. That idea of hers slowly changed and settled my life and aims. The most sad thing happened this year was her moving away to Essen in July. Anyway I got the opportunity to start my own blog tha.Darlinh and see how it has already grown! Therefore I am thanking again every reader. This wouldn't be the same without you.
I will definitely have 2011 positively in mind but I am very eager for 2012,too. So many plans are set already. After my graduation in June I will have much more time for the blog and everything fashionable (more on those plans, next year).
But before we pass over to a hopefully even better 2012, here a flashback of 2011.

Wow was für ein großartiges Jahr geht nun zu Ende. Ein Jahr mit Auf und Abs aber soweit sicherlich eins der Besten meines Lebens. 

Im April startete ich das Bloggen zusammen mit Wioletta auf REMOTE FUTURE. Diese Idee von ihr sollte bald mein Leben und meine Ziele weitgehend ändern und festigen. Das traurigste dieses Jahr war wohl, dass Wioletta im Juli nach Essen zog. Jedenfalls hatte ich damit die Chance meinen eigenen Blog tha.Darling zu gründen. Und nun seht wie er bereits gewachsen ist! Daher möchte ich auch, meinen Lesern, nochmal danken. Das alles wäre nicht dasselbe ohne euch. 

Ich werde 2011 definitiv in guter Erinnerung behalten aber ich bin ebenfalls gespannt auf 2012. So viele Pläne sind bereits gemacht. Nach meinem Abiturabschluss im Juni werde ich erstmal eine Menge Zeit für das Bloggen und alles Modische haben (konkretes über die Pläne, gibt es nächstes Jahr).

Aber bevor wir in ein hoffentlich noch besseres Jahr 2012 übergehen, ein Flashback von 2011.

It's a holly jolly Christmas

Christmas Eve is over. Christmas Day has long begun. How did you spent the days so far? 

I am doing a quick holiday post to wish you all a merry merry Christmas! 

Thanks to everyone for the support during the time that I have been blogging. I appreciate the presence of every single one of you. You are the best! 

Actually this year my family and me seemed not to be involved into Christmas season too much. Other than usual we only bought a tiny tree and also the presents weren't too big of a deal. BUT I mean we still spent the time all together. My brother who took a semester abroad is back and even better also Wioletta is back in Berlin for about 2 weeks. Having beloved persons around is the most important on Christmas, right?

Heiligabend ist vorbei. Der erste Weihnachtstag hat längst begonnen. Wie habt ihr die Tage bisher verbracht? Ich mache mal einen schnellen Feiertagspost, denn wichtig war mir auch EUCH meinen Lesern ein wunderschönes frohes und besinnliches Weihnachten zu wünschen! 

Ich danke allen für die Unterstützung während meiner Blogger-Zeit. Ich schätze wirklich jeden Einzelnen. Ihr seit die Besten!

Eigentlich kam bei meiner Familie dieses Jahr nicht so die große Weihnachtsstimmung auf. Anders als sonst haben wir nur eine kleine Tanne. Die Geschenke waren jeweils auch nur Kleinigkeiten. ABER wir haben Weihnachten trotzdem als vollständige Familie verbracht. Mein Bruder und auch Wioletta sind über die Ferien wieder in Berlin. Geliebte Personen in der Nähe zu haben ist doch das wichtigste an Weihnachten, richtig?

What I wear: IT'S SALE TIME

The huge H&M sale has finally begun in Germany's stores a few days ago. First thing to do after the announcement was accordingly running into the shop and prepare my credit card to bleed! So here I created a outfit post from the first bargains I made. A cosy white turtle neck pullover and a light grey over the shoulder bag (actually I bought the bag a few mweeks ago already but since it is now on sale I highly  recommend it to you - it became my favorite and most used bag also for school).
Huh, I love sales. I am one of those who mostly buy clothes when they are on sale -statement pieces at the beginning of the season and classics from the sale.
There is only one week left until Chrsitmas Eve, maybe the sale is a great opportunity for you to make yourself or your best friend a pre-present ;)
I mean the Versace for H&M collection is reduced too and which fashionista does not long for those pieces?

Der große H&M Sale hat vor ein oaar Tagen in Deutschland endlich angefangen. Das erste was zu tun war, war natürlich in den nächsten Shop rennen und die Kreditkarte darauf vorzubereiten kräftig zu bluten! Hier sind die ersten Schnäppchen, die ich gemacht habe. Ein gemütlicher weißer Rollkragenpullover and eine hellgraue Schultertasche (eigentlich habe ich die Tasche schon vor einigen Wochen gekauft aber jetzt wo sie im Sale ist wollte ich sie euch aufs Höchste weiterempfehlen - sie ist meine liebste und meistbenutzte Tasche gewurden vor allem auch für die Schule).

Hach, ich liebe Sales. Ich bin eine dieser Personen, die die meisten ihrer Klamotten in der Sale-Zeit kaufen - Statement Stücke am Anfang der Saison und Klassiker vom Sale.

Es ist nur noch eine Woche bis zu Heiligabend und das könnte eine wunderbare Möglichkeit dafür sein euch selbst oder euren besten Freundinnen ein Vorweihnachtsfreude zu machen. ;)

Ich meine, die Versace für H&M Kollektion ist nun auch reduziert und welche Fashionista will keins dieser Teile haben?

DIY: Silver Shoes

This week I was in crafting mood. After I specialised the giveaway bag (you can still enter the giveaway - and you definitely should - the satchel is gorgeous, I feel like not showcasing it good enough for you) I thought about a DIY project. Browsing on Mango's online shop I found those brogues and the idea just popped into my mind.

These winter days you can find a lot of summer shoes on sale in the backmost corners of shoe shops. I for example found those flowery ones for 4.95€. With a few utensils, hand grips and patience I recreated Mango's broques into similiar non-broques.

Step 1: Find a pair of shoes no matter how unattractive the pattern might be

Step 2: Use silver acrylic lacquer (can be found in any art supplies shop) for an all over undercoat

Step 3: After the silver dried you can add the pattern with the help of black acrylic lacquer (apply the silver dots after the black dried)

Step 4: After letting everything dry again, apply gloss varnish regularly all over the shoes

Step 5: Most important (or the colour won't uphold so long) spray a moisture blocker (can be found in most regular shoe shops)

How does it feel to wear a Versace for H&M?

Who would have thought that after 2 weeks after the release of the collection there would still be so many pieces left?
Well I definitely did not. But when I randomly walked into the H&M store at Berlin's Alexa yesterday evening I was totally surprised when I found more than half of the collection still there. Good for me, because I thought that everything was sold out already so I didn't even bothered to try at that very first weekend after the collection came into shops. As a result I was finally able to touch the fabrics of the clothes and accessoires. A few of them became even more special because for example the bomber jacket is made of some velvet like cloth which I would have never thought seeing it on pictures.
Even better was that my two favorite pieces of the Versace for H&M collection (the golden and black dress) were available in my size. I could not resist and had to try them on (since the price range is to much for my budget I had to remain with just trying on).
The black dress isn't what I thought it would be like. I imagined its fabric more sleek and silky but it was rather rough which decreased my enthusiam for it but still I love the look of it and the flattery bottom.
The golden one again felt super pleasant on my skin. Since I am not the tallest, a belt is essential for the dress to look good but the glamourous details (especially at the neckline and shoulder) are making this dress a hot buy!

Happy First-Day-of-December!

Wer hätte gedacht, dass 2 Wochen nach der Veröffentlichung der Kollektion noch so viele Teile übrig sein würden?

Ich definitiv nicht. Aber als ich gestern wahllos in den H&M Shop im Berliner Alexa reinlief wurde ich total überrascht als ich über eine Hälfte der Kollektion dort immernochn fand. Gut für mich, da ich gedacht hatte, dass bereits alles längst ausverkauft ist, sodass ich mir nicht mal die Mühe machte an dem Wochenende nach der Freigabe in die Shops nachzugucken. Dadurch war ich endlich imstande die Stoffe der Kleidung und Accesoires selbst anzufassen. Einige wurden sogar für mich noch außergewöhnlicher; z.B. die Bomber Jacke ist aus einem samtigen Stoff, was ich niemals erwartet hatte so auf Fotos gesehen. 

Noch besser war, dass meine zwei Lieblingsteile der Versace für H&M Kollektion (das goldene und schwarze Kleid) noch in meiner Größe verfügbar waren. Ich konnte einfach nicht wiederstehen und musste sie anprobieren (dabei blieb es auch, da die Preisklasse nicht wirklich von meinem Budget fällt).

Das schwarze Kleid ist nicht so wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte. Ich dachte der Stoff würde glatter, kühler und geschmeidiger sein - eben so seidig - aber es war eher rau. Obwohl es meinen Enthusiamus gegenüber dem Kleid etwas senkte mag ich es trotzdem sehr, nicht zuletzt auch durch den flattrigen Saum.

Das Goldene wiederum fühlte sich auf meiner Haut super angenehm an. Da ich nicht die größte bin, ist ein Gürtel zwar dringend notwendig um gut auszusehen aber die glamurösen Details (besonders am Ausschnitt bzw. Schulter) machen dieses Kleid zum Hot Buy!
