MBFWB A/W 2012: BERLINPIECES Trend Showroom

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin started two das ago. The city  is full of fashionable people and events. Surely I can’t stay away from that. I have chosen my first showrooms visits directly for Tuesday.
The first on - and my personal highlight of the day - was the BERLINPIECES Trend Showroom. Clothes and accessories from both Berlin and Istanbul designers are presented here until tomorrow (19.1.).
That does not contribute much to the term but I have to note that the hostesses were also super friendly! As soon as I stepped into the rather small open exhibition room I was greeted cheerfully and given a short interesting introduction to the showroom. A wonderful smooth atmosphere prevailed in the room on  Tuesday evening when I was there - a terrific alternation to the hustle and bustle on the streets!
All 11 labels were fantastic new discoveries for me. What I so love about Berlin is that it burrrows so many diverse fashion labels so that you can always be surprised again and again.

Die Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin hat vorgestern angefangen. Die Stadt ist voller modischer Menschen und Events. Natürlich kann ich da nicht wegbleiben. Auch ich habe mir direkt für den Dienstag ein paar schöne Showrooms ausgesucht.
Der erste - und gleichzeitig mein persönliches Highlight des Tages - war der BERLINPIECES Trend Showroom. Dort werden noch bis morgen (19.1.) Abend Kleidungsstücke und Accessoires von sowohl Berliner als auch Istanbuler Designer ausgestellt.
Auch wenn das hier nicht allzu viel zur Sache tut muss ich einmal schnell anmerken: die Hostessen sind ebenfalls super freundlich! Bei meinem Eintritt in den kleinen offenen Ausstellungsraum wurde ich sofort begrüßt und bekam eine kurze interessant Einführung in den Showroom. Es herrschte Dienstag Abend als ich dort war eine wunderbar ruhige Stimmung - tolle Abwechslung zum Trubel auf den Straßen!
Alle 11 Labels waren für mich fantastische Neuentdeckungen. Ich liebe Berlin dafür, dass es so viele unterschiedliche Modelabels ins ich birgt, sodass man immer wieder aufs neue überrascht wird.
Meine Favoriten aus dem BERLINPIECES Trend Showroom und kleine Eindrücke stelle ich euch nun noch im Einzelnen vor.

lan commeonveut

lan commeonveut is the label of young Berlin designer Lan Behrendt. The name of the label "commeonveut" (French for "the way you want") is supposed to express the creative freedom every person should have. The philosophy of the brand is completely reflecting in the creations of the designer. With the help of several experiments e.g. chemical reactions, she modifies textures such as shape and colour. In her newest collection especially the tops in shredded-style caught my attention (these are actually typical commeonveut). Those Lan Behrendt cleverly combines with precious fabrics and calm colours - a brilliant ensemble of elegance and grunge-rock.

lan commeonveut ist das Label der jungen Berlinerin Lan Behrendt. Der Name des Labels "commeonveut" (franz. "so wie man will") soll die gestalterische Freiheit ausdrücken, die jedem zugänglich sein sollte.  Diese Philosophie spiegelt sich vollkommen in den Kreationen der Designerin wieder. Mit Hilfe von Experimenten z.B. chemischen Vorgängen; verändert sie Texturen sowie Form und Farbe. In ihrer neuesten Kollektion fielen mir vor allem Oberteile im Shredded-Stil auf (diese sind übrigens typisch commeonveut). Diese kombiniert Lan raffinierterweise  mit edlen Stoffen in eleganten ruhigen Farben - ein brillantes Ensemble aus Eleganz und Grunge-Rock.

Si : ro

Simone Rothweiler from Si : ro created unique pieces inspired by nature made out of natural materials. Several accessories and cases encapsulated with fur can be found in her autumn/winter 2012 collection. Apart from that it is very simple design but with an overwhelming effect. The black-white striped clutch finally made me fall for si : ro. What is there more to say?

Simone Rothweiler von Si : ro kreiert Unikate inspiriert von der Natur aus Naturmaterialien. Verschiedene Accessoires und Etuis von Fell ummantelt gibt es in ihrer Herbst/Winter 2012 Kollektion. Ansonsten ein sehr schlichtes Design, aber fantastisch in der Wirkung. Am meisten hat es mir die schwarze-weiße Clutch aus dem letzten Bild angetan. Muss ich noch mehr sagen?

Kiki’s Design

Founta Günem as designer from Istanbul kiki‘s Design has also taken me with her. Although she worked for internationally recognized designers among others in New York, you can still sense the very special and playful freshness in her creations. Stripes, Dots, blunt collars and my favourite piece: the clutch with the look of an antique letter. This is definitely an addition to my wish list from Monday!

Founta Günem hat es mir als Designerin von kiki‘s Design aus Istanbul besonders angetan. Obwohl sie schon international anerkannte Designer und New York hinter sich hat, kann man in ihren Kreationen noch eine besonders spielerische aber auch nostalgische Frische spüren. Streifen, Pünktchen, Bübchenkragen und mein absolutes Lieblingsstück: die Clutch mit dem Aussehen eines antiken Briefes. Die wird noch zusätzlich auf meine Wunschliste von Montag gesetzt!

Mila Miyahara

Mila Miyahara mostly manages simple classic cuttings, because what makes the clothes of the Berlin designer so special are the noble fabrics. The patterned long strapless dress is pretty much the first clothing striking my eye when I came into the showroom. Also in the end my thought remained: This is probably the most beautiful dress in the whole exhibition. Unlike at other labels there are now complicated profiles but it sparkles with the shimmering golden dots infiltrated fabric - for Mila Miyahara enough to create a fantastic impact.

Mila Miyahara bedient ausschließlich simple klassische Schnitte, denn was die Kleidung der Berliner Designerin so besonders machen sind die edlen Stoffe. Das lange gemusterte Trägerlose Kleid war so ziemlich das erste Kleidungsstück welches mir im Showroom ins Auge gestochen ist. Auch zum Schluss blieb der Gedanke: Das ist das schönste Kleid der ganzen Ausstellung. Anders als bei diversen anderen Labels gibt es keine komplizierten Schnitte sondern es glänzt nur mit dem mit gold schimmernden Punkten durchsetzten Stoff - für Mila Miyahara ist das genug um eine fantastische Wirkung zu erzeugen.
